The Street Kare Initiative (SKI) Africa is
an independent ICT based youth
empowerment, Advocacy and Research based organisation. It is a Non-Governmental Organization with no
political affiliation. It has been duly registered as a charitable organization
under the laws of Ghana and has been certified to commence business as an NGO in the year 2016. Our head office is in Accra, Ghana. We run the Youths Guarantee
Scheme. The Youth Guarantee Scheme is an initiative allowing SKI Africa to provide free ICT training and education to
successful
youths
aged 16 -25 from deprived
communities all over the country. It is open to all students who want to train
towards a qualification in an ICT
chosen career.
MANAGEMENT PROFILE
SKI Africa is managed by a 7 member professional
team who oversees to the day-to-day operation of the foundation. The Executive
Director/CEO is the head of the management team.

Andrew has worked
in various organisations as an IT personnel and instructor in numerous
institutions. Prior to founding SKI Africa, he worked with Dataplus Software
Solutions as a System Administrator and data Analyst.

in Software Engineering from APTECH
University, India.

build partnerships with foundations, government institutions, local and
international Non- governmental organisations to find solutions that
last and can transform lives of the marginalised and underprivileged youths in
society from what they are today to what they can become tomorrow. SKI Africa’s is also committed to five
of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
namely: poverty eradication, quality education, good jobs and economic growth, reducing
inequalities and promoting peace.

Characteristics of the Organization
Capital Resources:
We have the
entire basic infrastructure to achieve the goals and objectives of our
programmes such as a modern office, (Computers & peripherals, internet
connection, telephone, Audio- visual components etc.) Photocopier machines,
projectors and laptops, ICT service tools, equipment and system software.
06.2 Human Resources:
We have highly qualified, experienced and professional
team, made up of practical IT
technicians, Software Engineers, Mobile App Developers, and highly trained
certified mobile technicians equipped with the latest industry knowledge and of
many years’ experience as industry players who dedicate themselves to the
objectives of the organization and its programmes. All our programmes are taught
by software engineers and mobile engineering technicians who have opened and
launched businesses from ground with minimum 5 years’ experience and up. We
focus on providing practical hands-on real world learning that is immediately
applicable. We also have a professional administrative staff and an advisory
board that gives support at the planning, operational and executing levels of
all our programmes.
